What can we do when the systems that were meant to protect us are harming us? Risen explores the disappearance of 43 students in Mexico through a combination of performance, live art and installation to help them be more than a statistic; to raise awareness of the spaces that are left empty by those who are made to disappear.
With foil as a primary material, three artist grapple with unspeakable acts of violence that are becoming the normal mode of operation in the current political climate of Mexico.
